SUPPORTIVE CHOICES TO ATTAIN AND MAINTAIN A ROBUST LIFE
Be strong, healthy and vigorous by making supportive choices!
You can make supportive choices, implement and maintain these choices over time. Here are the six supportive choices you can make starting right NOW!

Choose your thoughts
Your thoughts are real things that affect your life.
What you think about comes about.
In other words, a thought held in your mind produces more thoughts of the same kind.
Most people spend most of their time thinking about what they do not want.
Focus on what you want, keeping your mind directed towards the future while attending to the present!

Choose your food wisely
Being a conscious consumer these days is an absolute necessity if you plan on a long robust life.
Study after study reveals the need for eating whole foods versus processed foods of any kind.
Eat fresh local organic foods in season and leave the boxed, bagged, packaged, sweetened, etc. foods on the shelf.

Choose water as your primary beverage
The need for abundant clean water in the body assures normal metabolism.
Most people experience some dehydration and suffer with toxicity within the body as a result from not drinking enough water to meet the needs of the physical body.
If you want to overcome illness, drink more water. A filtration system for your tap water is best. Consume half your body weight in ounces throughout each day.
Avoid carbonated, caffeinated, flavored or sweetened beverages. There is no substitute for clean water!

Choose to get regular full night of sleep
Sleep deprivation is commonplace and can be dangerous. Studies have shown that going 24 hours without sleep produces a state similar to being intoxicated from alcohol.
On average, the body needs 7 to 9 hours of sleep to fully recharge and restore completely. When you do not get regular sound sleep, your resistance to illness drops and many other bodily functions are compromised.

Choose your work carefully
In our society, the necessity to create an income stream in order to provide for your basic needs is a given. When your work is demoralizing or degrading, you are more prone to on- the-job injuries and poor health. Your attitude about the work you perform is very important. Find a creative aspect to your work or make changes to do more engaging and satisfying work.

Choose to play & exercise
This aspect of robust living is often overlooked and under-rated! After elementary school, play is typically no longer a part of our everyday experience. Engaging in sports occasionally and thec annual two-week vacation is not enough. Unfortunately, taking time to play, relax and recharge on a regular basis is usually the first thing to be canceled as we meet commitments with our careers, families and communities. Our habit of skipping regular exercise is literally killing us. The obesity and illness rates are absolutely alarming. The health community endorses diet, exercise and self- care as the first line approach to maintaining health. Be one of those that take common wisdom seriously.
