The Robust Life Center specializes in working with overweight and underweight individuals including those with anorexia and bulimia. People with chronic conditions such as Crohn’s and Multiple Sclerosis have seen significant improvement from this nutritional counseling service.

Every week a coaching appointment by phone is scheduled to follow up on progress, tackle problems and implement new strategies as needed. The approach is holistic in working with the person’s emotions, mental outlook and even spiritual perspective to find solutions that work. These calls assist clients to maintain focus, especially when results are slower than desired.

Every month a personal visit is scheduled to assess progress by measuring health indictors. Revisions are made according to the progress and problems over the past month. Diet, water consumption, sleep patterns, elimination and emotions are reviewed and discussed.

Eating Plan

Each client receives a customized plan for healthy eating. The food choices within each plan are based on the results of the assessments. Eating according to the plan insures the attainment and maintenance of a healthy body. Even demanding lifestyles can be accommodated within these customized eating guides.

Exercise Plan

Your exercise plan will include aerobic, strength and flexibility training. This approach raises the metabolism, increases muscle mass and improves the body’s ability to perform a range of activities. There are many types of exercise activities that you can choose from in order to increase your health.

Water Intake Plan

As a general rule, everyone needs an amount of water equivalent in ounces to half of the body weight. For example, a 200 pound person needs 100 ounces of water each day. To properly hydrate the body, drink up to four ounces of water every thirty minutes. When exercising, the body’s ability to take in and use water can double or even triple in quantity. High quality pure water is the best source for proper hydration.

Supplement Plan

Having a balanced supplement plan is vital to great health. This is because modern agriculture methods have depleted the soil of the important minerals yielding grains, vegetables and fruits without the necessary vitamin and mineral content for balanced nutrition. Good health is actually more dependent upon the proper intake of vitamins and minerals than upon the ratio of protein, carbohydrates and fat consumed. Vitamins are useless unless the proper minerals are present to activate their function. Vitamin and mineral deficiencies are known to cause health problems and even lead to disease.

It is critical to your health to include whole food supplements. Synthetic supplements are poor substitutes to whole food supplements. Whole food supplements contain the enzymes and synergistic constituents which help the body assimilate the vitamins and minerals. Inorganic minerals and synthetic vitamins are more difficult to absorb and are often ineffective at standard dosing.

The amount of a particular vitamin or mineral an individual needs must be carefully assessed by taking into consideration heredity factors and the person’s history. It is important to have a supplement plan that includes trace minerals. Trace minerals affect the metabolism of calcium and phosphorous. When one becomes deficient in these trace minerals, endocrine glands and the autonomic system do not function properly.
